Ceremonies by Karen Davis
Unforgettable Memories
Funeral and Memorial Services
Although traditionally these ceremonies are held in a Church at a Crematorium or burial site, Celebrant led ceremonies can take place anywhere you like. There is no legal requirement to have a ceremony in a designated place or for the format to be any specific way.
I hope to offer you choice and flexibility to design a ceremony tailored to your loved one, whether it is a cremation or burial, at an official site or other venue for the ceremony.
Although you have lost someone and these seem like dark days, we look to celebrate the life of the person you have lost and in doing so help you to recall the happy times you spent together and the memories that were made, so that they live on.
Memorial services can be arranged at any time following a funeral. There is no time limit and no restriction as to when and where.
A Funeral is not a day in a lifetime,
it is a lifetime in a day!
Services for furry family members
Doing a pet funeral is no different from a human one. We are celebrating a life which has been loved and will be very much missed. Your ‘farewell ceremony’ will be bespoke and personal and I am happy to provide music.
Saying farewell to Duke by his family:
“Katie at Dignity recommended a celebrant who would hold a proper service for me, Karen Davis, she was lovely. She called me and we spoke about Duke and his impact on our lives and from this she wrote a wonderful eulogy for him.
On the day of his funeral, we followed Duke from Nottingham to Hook in Hampshire and there Karen, the celebrant, was waiting. We had a proper send-off for Duke. We sat in the gardens and they brought Duke out and we placed flowers and cuttings from his favourite tree with him and placed photos of him nearby. Karen started the service and then read out the eulogy with ‘Bright Eyes’ and ‘Adagio for Strings’ played as we said our final goodbye to our wonderful boy.”
Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories.

Thankyou for the very personal words for John, it was beautiful. Also for overseeing the eulogy and Emma’s memories, nothing clashed. I loved the presentation which you gave to me, after the service which will be forever with me, and the small thoughts of the forget me not seeds.
It was a beautiful day, I felt joy and love running through all of the proceedings.

I just wanted to thank you, for your services & helping us plan Dad's final farewell last Thursday.
Although the weather was appalling, it didn't dampen the love & wonderful memories we all shared for Dad.
He would of loved us all having a final dance with him too, bless him.

Firstly I would like to say thank you so much for Friday, everything was perfect my dad would have loved it all.
So many people messaged me and said it was the best funeral that had been to, they said it felt more uplifting to previous funerals. They all loved it.
