Ceremonies by Karen Davis
Baby and Child Naming
A Celebrant led ceremony is a non-religious ceremony, however you are welcome to include any elements of faith or belief into your ceremony.
A Traditional baby christening in a church is not right for those who do not attend church and do not want to make false promises to bring their child up in the church. How many times have you been to a christening and witnessed the Godparents giggling as they make those false promises?
A naming ceremony allows you to celebrate you greatest creation, your child, in a way that suits you, with promises which you or I write, which hold value and meaning. Grandparents, Siblings and Close friends (who you chose in place of Godparents) can also make befitting promises to your child.
Like all Celebrant led ceremonies, this will be a personalised ceremony to celebrate your child’s life and all that is ahead of them.
Adoption or Two Families Uniting
You can celebrate any life event you choose; adopting a child or uniting two families is a great reason to celebrate.
I can create a ceremony for you.
Just when you think you know love, someone little comes along and reminds you just how big love is!
Every precious moment becomes a precious memory!
You can celebrate any event or momentous occasion in life and as every ceremony is written especially for who it is for, it is possible to celebrate with a ceremony any event you choose to.
Shortly following the COVID19 pandemic I held a graduation ceremony for students from the ski club at the University of Leeds. The university had cancelled all graduation ceremonies and they invited me to hold a ceremony for them where they would celebrate and have photos within their friendship group.
Anything is possible. Dreams are just reality waiting to happen!
